Last longish run before the @chester.marathon.half.10k next weekend, finished on the podium today for the @runthroughuk half marathon at the velodrome this morning. . . Enjoyed my run out today, the first 5 miles disappeared, I did take the second half a bit casually. My best 10k and 10miles times since January so overall not a bad training run. . . Looks like a sub 2:53-2:55 might be on the cards next weekend. I might change my mind at mile 15 though… . Pity about the bad weather postponing the beat the hill 10k tomorrow, those hills are fun! The taper proper starts Monday. . On a positive note this means I can sleep in and watch @berlinmarathon tomorrow morning. . Good luck to all you Berlin marathon runners!! W7D6 – Lee Valley Velopark 10k. 2nd lady, 1st in AG. Another excellent @runthroughuk event but my god, that course is tough! Swipe to see the relentless up and down, 6 laps of it. You know I've worked hard when The Vein makes an appearance! Targeted HM pace throughout apart from a brief pause to sort out wayward shoe laces 🤦‍♀️😫 Such a rookie mistake but I'll get over it, and maybe wear velcro trainers in 3 weeks.
