Join us for the RunThrough Chase the Sun Wimbledon Common 5k & 20k on Wednesday 26th June 2019!
Join us at the common and run either 5k or 10k and race round the course before the sun goes down. Starting at 7pm, you can either play it safe and race around a quick 5k or take on a full 10k before the sun sets. At the end of the race you will get your hands on your well deserved Chase the Sun themed medal! Check out our calendar for a full list of Chase the Sun events this summer.
Run through the picturesque Wimbledon Common; this flat trail course is the perfect way to spend a summer’s evening!

Getting there from the Tube/Train station will need careful planning. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time!
Train/Tube - The nearest train station is Wimbledon. From here, take 93 bus to bus stop Q (Marryat Road), it is then a 5-10 minute walk to the start.
By Foot - The park is easily accessible by foot, just pop on google maps and head for Cannizaro Park.
Please, wherever possible walk, jog, run, cycle or use public transport when attending the event. Please also watch out for other park users when arriving and leaving. You can use TFL to help plan your journey.
We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, all you have to do show your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.
There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and water at the finish alongside your fruit and flapjack!
During the race
We will have marshals all around the course as well as KM signs and arrows. It will be 1 lap for the 5k and 2 lap for the 10k. Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park - be aware of people walking, dogs and bikes.
Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
Things to note!
There WILL be pedestrians, please be aware of people, dogs and cyclists. We have marshals around the course and signs but this is not a road race, you have to pay very close attention to where you are going. We do not recommend you use earphones and you need to pay close attention to everything around you.
