Run the Hillsborough Castle & Gardens Running Festival on Sunday 28th July 2024 In Support of Northern Ireland Hospice!

We are excited to announce the return of the Hillsborough Castle & Gardens Running Festival, including something for the whole family with an U16 5k, adult 5k, a 10k, and a half marathon to choose from! Come and run the event at Hillsborough Castle on Sunday 28th July 2024 and take the opportunity to race around this unique location!

These races will start within the beautiful Grounds of Hillsborough Castle, before heading out onto the surrounding forest areas of Hillsborough and taking in historic attractions in the local area such as Hillsborough Fort and Hillsborough Lake, the half marathon & 10k will then head out on to Ballynahinch road before re-joining the Castle grounds to finish in the event village. Each mile is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.

*Please Note: due to road closures there is a strict 3 hour cut off time for the Half Marathon!

T-Shirts at events have been a hot topic mainly around them not being a high enough quality to wear on a regular basis. So we have decided to tackle this by offering gender specific, technical T-Shirt’s (CLICK HERE) with a retail value of £22 for £12 with the addition of the event logo printed on the chest. These are to be collected at the Kit Stall on the day. 2024 design coming soon! (2023 design pictured).

We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to not only raise awareness about the quality of the product but also to counteract the increasing costs incurred in event production in a post-COVID world.
