Take on the Quayside 5K & 10K In Partnership with Gateshead Harriers on Wednesday 6th August 2025
We’re excited to bring back the Quayside 5K and debut the brand-new 10K option for 2025, in partnership with Gateshead Harriers. Taking place on Wednesday 6th August, this event offers a rare chance to race along Newcastle’s iconic waterfront on a midweek summer evening.
The flat, out-and-back route follows the River Tyne, taking in major landmarks such as the Swing Bridge, High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge, and Redheugh Bridge. Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a new PB or a beginner looking for a memorable first race, this fast course delivers.
The Quayside 5K is part of our Top Flight Races Series, attracting club athletes and fun runners alike for an exciting atmosphere and competitive edge.

T-Shirts at events have become a hot topic with concerns around the quality not being high enough to wear on a regular basis. We have decided to tackle this by offering a RunThrough Kit Technical T-Shirt with a retail value of £22 for £12 with the addition of the Quayside event logo printed on the chest.
We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to raise awareness about the quality of the product whilst reducing the overall cost of events for those who would prefer not to have a t-shirt included.
