In Support of The Children's Foundation

We're delighted to have The Children's Foundation join us again as our 2027 Charity of the Year. The Children's Foundation are a small independent children’s charity, founded in 1990 in Newcastle upon Tyne, when the North East had the worst levels of child health in the country. Today they continue to improve the health and well-being of the most vulnerable and marginalised children and young people from birth to 18 in the North East by Making Serious Stuff Fun! Join their team of fantastic fundraisers at the start line and together we can make a real difference. To sign up to run for them, click here

Newcastle 10k is back this year, bigger, better, and bolder than before — proudly delivered in partnership with Gateshead Harriers.

With full road closures and over 3,000 runners expected, this event creates a brilliant atmosphere along one of the North East’s most iconic routes.

The race follow a stunning out-and-back route along the Newcastle Quayside, passing beneath the Swing Bridge, High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge and Redheugh Bridge. Runners enjoy iconic views throughout, including the world-famous Tyne Bridge, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, and the Glasshouse and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, before finishing with a spectacular backdrop of the Millennium Bridge.

The route is flat, fast and perfect for PBs, while remaining fully accessible for beginners looking for an unforgettable race experience.

Newcastle 10 also forms part of our Top Flight Race Series, attracting some of the UK’s leading athletes and creating a fantastic racing spectacle.
