Take on a city race day starting and finishing by Saint Mary’s Stadium. The Southampton Half & 10K offers smooth, well-supported running on city streets with a lively stadium backdrop, perfect for chasing a PB or enjoying an autumn challenge with friends and family.

Expect clear kilometre and mile markers, friendly marshals at every key point, and an event village to round off your morning with refreshments and celebrations.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags, and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Southampton 5k, 10k, Half Marathon & Junior Fun Run.

Event Information

This course is flat and fast, offering a great potential for you to run a new PB! Marshals are positioned all around the course, with distance signs and arrows throughout. Listen for marshal instructions and be aware of the signage in place, especially where different distances diverge and rejoin.

Getting There

Southampton Central, Bitterne and Woolston Stations are all within 2 miles of the stadium. Please check rail times ahead of the race as services may be reduced on weekends.

Parking

There will be no parking at the venue, we recommend using public transport or car sharing where possible. Please use parkopedia.com to find somewhere suitable to park nearby. There are several surrounding small car parks available which are often used on match days.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be toilets available for you to use within the Stadium, which can be accessed from the Event Village.

Water & Refreshments

There will be a water station on each lap of the course, approximately every 5km. 5k runners will pass this once, 10k runners twice and half marathon runners 4 times. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Race Pack Collection

HM - 7:30am-8:30am

10k - 8:00am-9:00am

5k - 8:15am-9:15am

Juniors - 10:30am-11:30am

Warm-Up & Race Start

We will have a warm up in the event village 15 minutes prior to the start of each race. From here, we will call out estimated finish times to get all runners lined up and ready to run. Please note, each race starts in a different location, please ensure you listen out for mc instructions to guide you to your start.

Spectators are more than welcome, you will be able to catch the runners lapping around the outside of the stadium & the finish pitch side in St Mary’s Stadium!

Please note, due to venue restrictions no dogs are allowed to enter Saint Mary’s Stadium.

Accessibility

Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants at this event, however spectators are welcome to have a dog within the event village if kept on a lead at all times.
