To celebrate the launch of RunThrough USA, we’re excited to bring our innovative and inclusive event initiative to the heart of Philadelphia this Labor Day – and the 5K will be completely FREE to enter!
With a proven track record of hosting accessible and free events in the UK, RunThrough is committed to inspiring and empowering as many people as possible to experience the incredible physical, mental, and social health benefits of running. By removing the barriers to entry, we’re making it easier than ever for anyone to join the movement and be part of a nationwide push toward a healthier, more active America.
The Philadelphia Labor Day 5K will be free to enter via a lottery, ensuring equal access to this exciting event. The 10K will still be available through traditional entry methods.
So kick off your Labor Day weekend with an unforgettable race through the heart of Philadelphia! The Philadelphia Labor Day 10K & FREE 5K starts in front of the iconic Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, offering a scenic and fast course through historic streets and along the picturesque Schuylkill River.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner aiming for a PR or a casual jogger looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday, this event is perfect for all fitness levels. Enjoy the energy of the city, post-race refreshments, and a vibrant race-day atmosphere.

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including excellent warm coffee and free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

T-Shirts at events have become a hot topic with concerns around the quality not being high enough to wear on a regular basis. We have decided to tackle this by offering a RunThrough Kit Technical T-Shirt with a retail value of $22 for $12 with the addition of the RunThrough Philadelphia Labor Day logo printed on the chest.
We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to raise awareness about the quality of the product whilst reducing the overall cost of events for those who would prefer not to have a t-shirt included.
