Take on a memorable race day in Gloucester with a route that blends city-centre atmosphere, historic landmarks, and scenic waterside running. Starting and finishing at Gloucester Park, this event gives runners the chance to race through pedestrianised city centre streets, pass around the iconic Gloucester Cathedral, and head out on a closed road circuit through Gloucester and Quedgeley before joining the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal Path.

Whether you are stepping up to the Half Marathon or taking on the 10K, this event offers a varied and rewarding course with strong local support and plenty to enjoy along the way. From the energy of the city streets to the calmer stretches beside the canal, every mile brings something different, making this a standout spring event for runners of all levels.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Gloucester Half Marathon & 10k Presented by TREK .

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

The course includes sections on a closed road and gravel paths, flat terrain.

Cut-off:

Please note there is a 3 hour cut off on this race due to road closures in place.

Getting There

By Train: Gloucester is the nearest train station which is a short distance from the start location.

Parking

There is no specific event parking for this event. We recommend using parkopedia.com to find local parking options. Please note that parking closest to the event village will fill up quickly, and please be aware of the road closures in place.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Toilets in the event village and approximately halfway on the half marathon course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided approximately every 5km, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Group warm up to start 10 minutes before race start time, we recommend everyone gather near the stage from 08:45
