About This Event

Join us for Run Solihull Half Marathon, 5k & Junior Race on Sunday 8th August 2027

With a vibrant event village in Malvern Park in the heart of Solihull, the event features fully road-closed routes and a fantastic race-day atmosphere. The Half Marathon follows an undulating course through Solihull town centre before heading out to the picturesque villages of Knowle, Barston and Eastcote, offering a rewarding challenge with plenty of PB potential.

The 5K provides a shorter, accessible option, while the Junior Race is the perfect opportunity for young runners to experience the excitement of race day.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Run Solihull Half Marathon, 5k & Junior Race .

Getting There

By Car: Solihull is connected to junctions 4, 5 & 6 of the M42, connecting to the M40 and M6.

By Train: Solihull is connected to two mainline routes via Birmingham International and Solihull Station, connecting to Birmingham and London.

Parking

There is no specific event parking for this event. We recommend using parkopedia.com to find a suitable parking space in the town. Please note that Malvern Park Car Park and Brueton Park Car Park (by the 6th Form College) will not be accessible during the event.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets available within the event village and approximately half way around the course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided at approximately 3, 6.5 and 10 miles on the half marathon course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. Please note the 5k won’t pass a water station on the course.

Warm-Up & Race Start

HM - Group warm-up in the Event Village 20 minutes before race start.

5k and Juniors - Group warm-up in the Event Village 10 minutes before each start.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head out onto the course, please be respectful of other runners and be aware of the road closures in place.

Accessibility

We welcome buggy runners and wheelchair athletes and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake them. It is not permitted to run with a dog at this event however spectators are welcome to have their dog within the event village we simply ask they be kept on a lead at all times.
