Join us for the Chepstow Running Festival Half Marathon, 10K & 5K! A unique mass-participation event set within the impressive grounds of the iconic Chepstow Racecourse.

Getting There

By Car: Get the full directions here

Not far from the toll-free Severn Bridge, Chepstow Racecourse is on the A466 Chepstow to Monmouth road.

From the M4 East (Junction 21) or M4 West (Junction 23), take the M48 and exit at Junction 2 (Chepstow), and follow the brown racecourse signs.

By Train:

Chepstow Station, just a 10 minute walk from the town centre, is well served by trains from from Birmingham, Cardiff, Cheltenham Spa, Derby, Gloucester, Newport and Nottingham.

Connections are available at Newport for London (Paddington), Hereford, Shrewsbury, Crewe, Manchester,Swansea and all parts of Wales. Also, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Salisbury, Portsmouth and all parts of South and West England.

Connections are also available at Cheltenham Spa for Yorkshire, North East of England and Scotland.

By Bus: There is a shuttle bus service that operates from Chepstow Train Station to the Racecourse via the town's bus station. The service also operates from Newport Train Station directly to the Racecourse.

Baggage

Secure marquee available. Bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number; tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets available at the racecourse.

Water provided at the 5k point of the race, and water available at the finish along with post race goodies and medal.

Warm-Up & Race Start

Group warm-up in the Event Village 10 minutes before each start.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish.

Accessibility

Unfortunately due to the nature of the course and significant areas of uneven trail it is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. Buggy runners are welcome but we advise checking the course ahead of participation. Due to the nature of the venue only assistance dogs are permitted within the racecourse grounds.
