Welcoming first-time runners, experienced athletes, and everyone in between, you’ll find people of all paces to keep you feeling strong as you take in the sights of the fabulous routes through rural, residential and town centre streets.

The final glorious mile sweeps through the town centre heart of Frome with a huge downhill curve that will set your hairs on end, with goosebumps carrying you through to the finish line.

Event Information

Frome 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon Running festival starts at the Frome Showground and heads out through the Somserset countryside. The Half Marathon runners will pass the event village and head through the town, towards Nunney, before returning. The 10k does a loop of Berkley before heading back to the showground. The 5k is an out and back to Berkley.

All routes are completed on closed roads and on undulating profiles.

Getting There

Frome is accessible by train, with direct services running from London Paddington, London Waterloo, Weymouth, Bath and Bristol. Frome Train Station is on Portway, a 20-minute walk from the Old Showfield.

Frome also has good bus links. Regular services run between Frome and Bath, Chippenham, Warminster, Shepton Mallet and Midsomer Norton.

Parking

Frome lies just off the A361, linking Ilfracombe and Kilsby, whilst the A359 connects the town with Yeovil.

Frome is accessible by car from the nearby cities of Bath, Bristol and Swindon. Please note there is no designated race parking so we advise to use parkopedia.co.uk to find suitable options. Please be aware of the road closures that are in place when parking for the event.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

There will be an informal bag drop area within the event village for runners to use. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Toilets are at the Event Village — follow the signs. Queues build in the final half hour before the start, so go early!

Water & Refreshments

There will be a water station approx every 5km along the course, as well as on the 5k route We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

Race packs are posted to everyone who entered by Sunday 29th August; anyone who entered after that collects theirs at registration on the day. If yours hasn't arrived by the Friday before the race, email info@runthrough.co.uk or collect it at registration.

There will be a group warm-up 15 minutes prior to the start of each race. From here, we will call out estimated finish times to get all runners lined up and ready to run.
