Rugby Half Marathon Set For Sunday 19th October 2025

RunThrough will stage the third edition of the Rugby Half Marathon on Sunday 19 October 2025, with around 1,500 runners expected to take on a scenic route that showcases the town’s railway heritage and countryside charm while supporting Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR.

Starting at Hart Field at 9:00 am, participants head out onto clear country roads before joining the former Great Central railway line, now a recognised wildlife hotspot. The course blends town and country sections to deliver a rewarding challenge with plenty of atmosphere along the way. With the backing of local partners and volunteers, the Rugby Half Marathon has become a much-loved fixture in the regional running calendar.

A spokesperson for Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR said, “Our charity relies solely on generous donations and receives no government funding, so by participating in this event, not only are you challenging yourself physically, but you're also playing a crucial role in helping us continue our lifesaving missions across Leicestershire and further afield. We encourage everyone to sign up, whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out—every step you take will help us be there when it matters most.”
