One Month To Go Until the Inaugural Flamingo Land 5K & 10K
There is just one month to go until runners take on the inaugural Flamingo Land 5K & 10K on Saturday 5th September 2026, a brand-new event from RunThrough, the organisers behind the popular Run Alton Towers at the UK's largest theme park.
Hosted within the grounds of Flamingo Land Resort, the unique route takes participants through the zoo, passing incredible animals including lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes and hippos, before continuing through the theme park alongside some of its biggest rides and attractions.
Having successfully delivered the renowned Run Alton Towers at the 500-acre Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire since 2021, RunThrough is bringing its expertise in creating unforgettable destination races to North Yorkshire with another one-of-a-kind running experience.
With 5K and 10K distances available, the event welcomes runners of all abilities, whether they are chasing a personal best or simply looking for a memorable day out. Every participant will receive chip timing, a fully marked course, enthusiastic marshal support and a unique finisher's medal.
The experience continues after the finish line, with every race entry including admission to Flamingo Land Resort, allowing runners to enjoy the zoo and theme park once they've completed their race.
