Newcastle 10k

A race – sub 40 minute runners: 9am start
B race – 40 min+ runners: 9.25am start
We are excited to bring to you this BRAND NEW 10k, in partnership with Tyne Bridge Harriers.
This ROAD CLOSED courses take in the famous landmarks of the Newcastle Quayside passing the Swing Bridge and under High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge & Redheugh Bridge, before returning the same way.
This is an extremely fast, flat course that boasts real PB potential, whilst being accessible to beginners to kick start the year!
The race will be split into 2 waves with Sub 40minute runners starting at 9:00 for an elite race, shortly followed by the mass B race at 9:25am.
Please enter the A or B race to suit the time you expect to run on the day.
**There is a 90 minute cut off due to road closures**
Your entry will include:
Chip timed results
Unique themed medal
Free official event photos
Post-race goodies

We have been extensively researching into what runners consider important, and sustainability is fast becoming the most important area. Click HERE to see what RunThrough is doing for sustainability.
T-Shirts at events have been a hot topic mainly around them not being of high enough quality to wear on a regular basis. So we have decided to tackle this by offering a T-Shirt (Women – CLICK HERE | Men – CLICK HERE) with a retail value of £22 for £12 with the addition of the event logo printed on the chest.
We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to not only raise awareness about the quality of the product but also to counteract the increasing costs incurred in the current climate.

Each km is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.

Registration, Race Numbers & Chips
Race numbers and chips are collected from the registration desk in the Event Village from 7:30am. Any amendments, lost chips, or late entries (after postal entries) are to be picked up here.
Toilets
Toilet facilities will be available in the event village.
Baggage
There will be a bag drop area within the Event Village where you can safely leave your belongings whilst you run.
Refreshments
There will be water provided at the half way point and at the finish alongside other post race goodies!
During the race
We will have marshals all around the course as well as KM signs and arrows.
Travel & Parking
The closest Metro Stations is Gateshead and train station Newcastle Central Station with several large public car parks on the Quayside – Mill Road is closed but Quarryfield Road Car Park will be available a short walk away. There will be NO specific Event Parking.
We encourage runners to arrive by Metro or to use available public & private parking on both sides of Newcastle – Gateshead Quayside.
We recommend using Parkopedia.com to find a suitable parking spot, should you wish to arrive by car.
Results
Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on our photos page after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
