Join us for the RunThrough Relays Media City on Thursday 30th September 2027!

Gather your team and take on the RunThrough Relays Media City on Thursday 30th September 2027. Starting and finishing in the Media City Piazza, this exciting relay event brings a team-focused twist to the popular Run Media City.

Runners will take on a 2.5km loop through Media City UK, heading over the Millennium Bridge, past the Imperial War Museum, and around the ITV and BBC television studios. With teammates cheering, handovers to chase, and a brilliant city backdrop, this is a fun and energetic way to race together.

With RunThrough, you can expect a lively event village and clear guidance from our on-course team. After your run, enjoy food, drink and free finish-line goodies from our partners.

You can add an official event t-shirt to your entry at checkout for more than 30% off. Produced in partnership with RT Kit, it features the event logo on the chest and is the perfect keepsake to celebrate your race. Offering the t-shirt as an optional extra helps us keep entry costs lower for runners who prefer not to include merchandise.

Getting There

By Train:

The best and easiest way to get to Media City is to take the Metrolink, with ‘Media City’ Metrolink station located not even 100 metres from the event village. Media City can be accessed from the city centre and changing at Cornbrook station, just outside the city centre.

The closest train station to MediaCityUK is Salford Crescent train station, which is approximately a 10-minute journey by taxi.

By Bus:

There are services from Manchester city centre, Intu Trafford Centre, Hulme, Swinton and East Didsbury.

Frequent bus services from outside Salford Crescent station link it with MediaCityUK.

By Car:

MediaCityUK can be found from the M60 ring road on to the M602 exiting at junction 3 signposted Salford Quays/Trafford Park. From the roundabout follow signs for Salford Quays turning right onto Broadway at the first set of Traffic lights.

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets available within the event village. Due to the lapped nature of the course, you will also be able to access these toilets during the race.

Water & Refreshments

There will be a water station passed on each lap. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
