About This Event

Join us for the return of the Congleton Half Marathon as part of the renamed Congleton Running Festival which now features a 5k and a 10k on Sunday 24th January 2027

Be part of a classic Cheshire race as the Congleton Half Marathon returns. Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, a road closed course, and smooth event delivery from start to finish. The course sets you up for confident pacing through quiet lanes and scenic countryside before a celebratory finish.

The race starts Back Lane Playing Field, you will follow a clearly signed route with friendly marshals at key points, well-placed water stations, and live chip timing to capture your effort.

Each mile is accurately marked with distance signage, and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Congleton Half Marathon.

Baggage

We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff, and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets in the event village, and approximately half way along the course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water stations approximately every 5km along the course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post-race goodies and medal.
