Join us for the Leeds Running Festival on Sunday 28th March 2027!

Take on a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon at the Leeds Running Festival on Sunday 28th March 2027 and enjoy a memorable day of racing around the stunning Roundhay Park. As one of the biggest city parks in Europe, Roundhay Park offers a brilliant setting for a spring event, with over 700 acres of parkland, woodland, lakes, and gardens creating a scenic and varied backdrop from start to finish.

Whether you are chasing a new personal best, stepping up to a new distance, or simply looking for a rewarding race-day experience, this event offers something for every runner. With beautiful surroundings, a welcoming atmosphere, and a choice of three popular distances, the Leeds Running Festival is the perfect way to kick off your spring racing season.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags, and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Leeds Running Festival.

The course will run along the footpaths within the park which follow a mixture of both tarmac & trail.

Minimum ages:

Half Marathon - 17 years and above

10k - 15 years and above

5k - 11 years and above

Getting There

By Car: The park is located just 3 miles north of Leeds City Centre just off the A58 Wetherby Road. It is also accessible from the A6120 Leeds Ring Road.

By Bus: There are buses to and from Leeds City Centre which run to the park, namely the numbers 2 & 12.

Parking

Please be aware that parking on site is limited. We recommend car sharing and the use of public transport.

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Portaloos in the event village.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head out onto the course please be respectful of the runners and other park users.

Accessibility

Unfortunately due to the nature of the course and terrain this is not a suitable course for either Buggy runners or wheelchair athletes. Dogs are not permitted to run at this event however spectators are welcome to have their dog within the event village; please keep them on a lead at all times.
