Join us for this Half Marathon & 10k event at the stunning Carsington Water on Saturday 17th October. You will run an undulating route on trail paths around Carsington Water and soak up the epic views of the surrounding countryside.

Start Times: Half Marathon: 9:30am, 10k: 10:00am

The Course

This race consists of an undulating route on trail paths around Carsington Water. The half marathon route is and out and back followed by 1 full loop of the reservoir. The 10k is almost one full loop of the reservoir.

Each kilometre will be accurately marked out and we have plenty of helpers to encourage you on your way to the finish line. Included in your entry fee is a themed medal, water and post race goodies. Come and enjoy the day with us; we hope to see you there!

The course will be marked with trail flags along with A5 arrows, our friendly marshals will also be on hand to guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Carsington Water!

The route offers an undulating trail path, with the half marathon featuring an out-and-back plus one full loop around the reservoir. The 10k is nearly one full loop.

During the race:

There will be marshals all around the course as well as distance signs and arrows. Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the paths.

There is paid parking available at the venue. This is Number plate recognition and to be paid on exit.

Visitor Centre Car Park = £3 for two hours, £5 for the whole day.

Millfields Car Park= £2.50 for two hours, £4 for the whole day.

You can park at the 10k start or finish, please note, you will have to make your own way to the start, or back to your car after the race. Please note both races finish in the main Event Village, this is a 1.3mile /25minute walk from the 10k start location.

Baggage

We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, all you have to do show you number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage. Any baggage left at the 10k event village will be transported to the finish for you.

Toilets

We will be using toilets located behind the visitor centre.

There is also a toilet block located in Millfields Car Park at the 10k start.

Refreshments

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the 10k race, and at miles 3, 6 and 9 on the half marathon. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Warm-Up & Race Start

There will be a group warm-up 15 minutes prior to the start of each race. From here, we will call out estimated finish times to get all runners lined up and ready to run.
