Join us for the Carsington Water Trail Half Marathon & 10k on Saturday 4th December 2027!

Round off the year with a scenic winter run at Carsington Water, taking on an undulating trail route around the reservoir with epic views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.

The December setting brings crisp air, peaceful waterside paths, and a rewarding end-of-year challenge for runners choosing either the Half Marathon or 10k. With beautiful open views and a calm winter atmosphere, this is a memorable way to finish your running calendar.

All routes will be marked using trail flags and tags, along with A5 arrows and signage. Our friendly marshals will also be on hand to guide you at major junctions and cheer you all the way to the finish. However, please note with all trail races, routes can be disrupted by many things: the weather, disgruntled walkers and wildlife, to name a few! To keep you safe, we provide the GPX for your race route so you can check you’re on track throughout the race and course correct/self-navigate if necessary.

You can also checkout all of RTKits Trails kit, including hydration vests, soft flasks and clothing HERE

With RunThrough, you can expect a lively event village and clear guidance from our on-course team. After your run, enjoy food, drink and free finish-line goodies from our partners.

You can add an official event t-shirt to your entry at checkout for more than 30% off. Produced in partnership with RT Kit, it features the event logo on the chest and is the perfect keepsake to celebrate your race. Offering the t-shirt as an optional extra helps us keep entry costs lower for runners who prefer not to include merchandise.

Once you enter, you’ll receive a confirmation email straight away, and full event information will be sent to you closer to race day.

We look forward to seeing you on the start line.
