Join us for West Cheshire TEN on Sunday 25th July 2027!

Take on a brilliant summer race day at the West Cheshire TEN, starting and finishing at Cheshire County Sports Club just outside Chester city centre.

Choose from the 10K, 10 Mile or Junior Race and enjoy a popular road-closed event through the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Whether you’re chasing a new PB, stepping up your distance or bringing the family along for the Junior Race, this event offers a friendly atmosphere and a memorable morning of running.

With scenic routes, a supportive race-day buzz and a unique medal waiting at the finish, West Cheshire TEN is one to add to your summer running calendar.

Each mile for the 10mile and each kilometre for the 10k is accurately marked with distance markers, and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the West Cheshire TEN.

Getting There

We strongly advise arriving before 8.20am at both sites to allow ample time to walk to the start. Please note that you will not be able to exit the Cheshire Horse Sanctuary car park until the roads reopen at 11am.

Please be advised that Mannings Lane will be closed at the junction with the A41 from 7am - to access the Cheshire Horse Sanctuary car park, please use Picton Gorse Lane or Oak Bank Lane.

If possible, please car share.

Parking

There is parking available at Cheshire Horse Sanctuary and the University of Chester Creative Campus.

Please refrain from parking in residential areas nearby.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portaloos available in the event village.

Water & Refreshments

There are water stations located at 3 miles, 5.5 miles and 8 miles on the 10 mile course, and at 3k & 7k on the 10k route.

There will also be a bottle of water waiting for you at the finish line.

We recommend bringing your own water to stay hydrated in the lead up to the event.
