Start your Sunday with a winter race day at Crystal Palace Park. Whether you are taking on the 5k, 10k, Half Marathon or bringing the family along for the Juniors race, this event offers a fun and memorable morning of running in one of South East London’s most scenic parks.

Set on the Norwood Ridge, Crystal Palace Park offers fantastic views across the surrounding area, with an undulating course that winds through the park and past the famous dinosaur park. With clearly marked kilometre flags, friendly marshals and a lively atmosphere throughout, you can look forward to a well-supported race day from start to finish.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags, and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Crystal Palace 5k, 10k, Half Marathon & Juniors.

During the race:

There will be marshals all around the course as well as km signs and arrows. The course is one lap for the 5k, two laps for the 10k and 4 laps for the Half Marathon on the roads/paths in the park. Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park and dogs are not permitted within the athletics track.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish.

Getting There

By Car: Get the full directions here

By Train: The park is within walking distance of both Crystal Palace Station and Penge West Station. If using public transport then please leave sufficient time to account for any delays.

By Foot: The park is easily accessible by both foot and cycle. Cycle parking is available in the park.

Parking

There is limited paid parking within Crystal Palace Park, however we recommend you take public transport to get to this venue. There is a train station, Crystal Palace Park, within the park which has links into central London.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portaloos within the event village for runners and spectators to use.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with plenty of goodies for when you finish 🙂

Warm-Up & Race Start

Group warm ups will take place 15mins before each race start time, within the event village.

You are free to wander around the park so you can see where the competitors will be running. It is lapped so you will see them on numerous occasions.

Accessibility

Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome. Please remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake.

Dogs

Dogs are not permitted to run at this event. Sadly they are not allowed to enter within the event village Athletics Track, but can be walked around the rest of the park.
