Join us for the Basildon Half Marathon, 10k and Juniors event for September 2027.

In Support of Changing Pathways

Taking place on Sunday 12th September, this exciting event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you're chasing a new PB or completing your first ever half marathon or 10k, everyone is invited to be part of this fun, supportive race day.

Starting and finishing at Basildon Sporting Village, the route heads out onto closed roads through the town, making it both a rewarding challenge and a great day out. With a Junior race included, it’s a family-friendly event perfect for getting young runners involved too!

With RunThrough, you can expect a lively event village and clear guidance from our on-course team. After your run, enjoy food, drink and free finish-line goodies from our partners.

You can add an official event t-shirt to your entry at checkout for more than 30% off. Produced in partnership with RT Kit, it features the event logo on the chest and is the perfect keepsake to celebrate your race. Offering the t-shirt as an optional extra helps us keep entry costs lower for runners who prefer not to include merchandise.

Once you enter, you’ll receive a confirmation email straight away, and full event information will be sent to you closer to race day.

The course offers a mix of urban and countryside roads, with gentle undulations throughout.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Portable toilets available in the event village and approximately half way on the course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided approximately every 5k in the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Race Pack Collection

Collect your race pack from the Event Village on the day — it opens at 06:00. Please bring your booking confirmation and photo ID.

Warm-Up & Race Start

Warm-ups will take place 15mins before each race start within the event village.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head onto the course, please be aware of the road closures in place. Vehicle access into Basildon Sporting Village will not be possible for spectators due to the carpark being used as part of the course. Please use SS&C alternative parking, 10min walk away from Basildon Sporting Village.

Accessibility

We welcome both pram and wheelchair participants at this event. We are afraid that dogs are not permitted within the event village venue.
