We're delighted to have Lennox Children's Cancer Fund join us as our 2027 Charity of the Year. For 35 years, Lennox Children's Cancer Fund has been supporting children with cancer and their families through the toughest journey of their lives.

The one-loop course gives runners the perfect opportunity to settle into their pace, chase a personal best and enjoy a brilliant race-day atmosphere from start to finish. With closed roads throughout the route, you can focus on your running and make every kilometre count.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Basildon Half Marathon and Juniors !

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

The course offers a mix of urban and countryside roads, with gentle undulations throughout.

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Portable toilets available in the event village and approximately half way on the course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided approximately every 5k in the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head onto the course, please be aware of the road closures in place. Vehicle access into Basildon Sporting Village will not be possible between approximately 08:45-09:15.

Accessibility

We welcome both pram and wheelchair participants at this event. Dogs are not permitted within the event venue.
