Join us for the Run Thorpe Park 5K & 10K on Sunday 5th September 2027!

Get ready for a unique race day at THORPE PARK Resort, where you can take on a 5K or 10K surrounded by some of the UK’s most exciting rides and rollercoasters.

Run through the resort before the gates open to the public, taking in the sights and atmosphere of THORPE PARK as you make your way around the course. Once you cross the finish line, your race entry includes access to THORPE PARK Resort for the full day, giving you plenty of time to celebrate your run with a day of rides, attractions and entertainment.

Whether you are chasing a fast time, taking on your first race or looking for a memorable day out with friends and family, the Run Thorpe Park 5K & 10K offers a race experience with a difference.

The event is brought to you by the RunThrough team behind the popular Run Alton Towers event, with the same friendly organisation and race-day atmosphere you know and love.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Run Thorpe Park 5K & 10K.

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

Set on smooth, fully marked paths within the resort, the route is designed for flow and fun. You will weave past iconic attractions, enjoy lively on-course support, and cross the finish under the RunThrough gantry to round off an unforgettable morning. Every entry includes full-day access to Thorpe Park Resort, so you can celebrate your run with the rides.

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

Toilets will be available inside the Thorpe Park Dome and Marquee. We will have course toilets available by Swarm ride.

Water & Refreshments

There will be a water station on course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. The 5k will pass the water station once and the 10k twice.

Warm-Up & Race Start

There will be a race briefing both races in the event village at 8:00am. From here, estimated

finish times will be called out to get 10k runners lined up and ready to run. Once the 10k has

started, 5k runners will be lined up in the same way..

Spectators are more than welcome. There will be a limit of 100 spectator tickets available. These can be purchased online via the RunThrough Thorpe Park Run page. If you have a Thorpe Park entry pass, it won’t be valid to enter the park before 10:00. Entry to the park will close at 08:00 for spectators, and reopen from 09:30 for the normal park access. You will have access to the theme park form 10:00 onwards. Reminder that parking charges apply from 13:00 onwards.

During the event we advise staying within the spectator zone at the start & finish. Spectators will not be permitted to enter the park or service roads during the race. Please follow directions by Thorpe Park and RunThrough staff.

Accessibility

We welcome buggy runners and wheelchair athletes and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake.

This is event is not suitable for buggy runners however wheelchair athletes are welcome and should you need any assistance please speak to our team in advance on email via info@runthrough.co.uk.
