About This Event

Join us for the return of the Run Heaton 5k, 10k, Half Marathon & Kids Race 2026 series on Sunday 11th October!

This large park, just north of Manchester and home to a Grade 1 listed neoclassical 18th-century house, is the perfect setting for a fun day out. This offers the perfect backdrop for a Half Marathon, 10k or 5k run.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Heaton Park.

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

The course is all on the tarmac paths within the park. This is an undulating and tough course.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish.

By Public transport: Metrolink offers Park and Ride car parks right across the tram network which are free to use for Metrolink customers.

The Park and Rides at Bury Interchange, Radcliffe and Whitefield offer a quick and easy way to get to Heaton Park and Bowker Vale stops, both of which are within walking distance of the park. For times visit www.metrolink.co.uk.

Heaton Park is served by the x35, 59, 90, 135, 149, 156, 164 and 484 buses.

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. (Please note the 5k won’t pass a water station on the course).

Accessibility

Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome. Please remain mindful of other runners and make yourself known if you need to overtake. Dogs are not permitted to run at this event, however spectators are welcome to have their dog within the event village if kept on a lead at all times.
