About This Event

Join us for the Run Dorney Lake Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5k on Saturday 26th September 2026

Join us for a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon or Marathon distance at the home of London 2012′s Olympic rowing events. Dorney Lake is situated near the village of Dorney in Buckinghamshire, is a purpose-built rowing lake with grounds that are a perfect backdrop to running as well as rowing. The flat course is ideal for a chip-timed personal best over the 5k or 10k distance. Please note, due to venue restrictions there is a 4hr cut off on the marathon.

This is a partner event. RunThrough memberships can be used for entry; however, once the event sells out, no additional places will be available, including for members. Please note there will be no RunThrough member desk, and member bibs cannot be used at this event.

Event Information

The route will follow the flat, tarmac paths around the Lake.

Cut-off time:

Please note, due to venue restrictions there is a 4hr cut off on the marathon. Please get in contact with us at info@runthrough.co.uk if you plan to take more than 4hrs to complete your race to discuss your options.

Minimum ages:

Marathon - 18 years and above

Half Marathon - 17 years and above

10k- 15 years and above

5k - 11 years and above

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portaloos available in the event village next to the boathouse. The toilets are a short distance from the transition area.

Water & Refreshments

There will be a water station available on each lap of the 5k course (at around the 2.5km mark). There will also be a bottle of water waiting for you at the finish line. We recommend bringing your own water with you to stay hydrated in the lead up to the event and running with a hydration where possible.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. Spectators can bring dogs but they must be kept on a short lead.

Accessibility

We welcome buggy runners and wheelchair athletes and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake. It is not permitted to run with a dog at this event however spectators are welcome to have their dog within the event village we simply ask they be kept on a lead at all times.
