Starting and finishing at the world-famous Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, each race takes place on closed roads through the city, giving you the chance to enjoy fast, traffic-free running and some of Philadelphia’s most iconic surroundings.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or taking on a new distance, expect an electric race-day atmosphere, professional race photos and free post-race goodies waiting for you at the finish.

Race Day Schedule

07:00 am10 Mile
07:30 am10k & 5k

Each mile is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Philadelphia!

With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

We have been extensively researching what runners consider important, and sustainability is fast becoming the top issue. Click here to see what RunThrough is doing for sustainability.

You can now grab your RunThrough USA Philadelphia event t-shirt for more than 30% off when you buy it as part of your entry on checkout! With the event logo printed on the chest, it’s the perfect keepsake to celebrate your race and wear your achievement with pride!

We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to raise awareness about the quality of the product whilst reducing the overall cost of events for those who would prefer not to have a t-shirt included.

Come and enjoy the day with us. Once you enter you will receive a confirmation email. More information will be sent closer to the event.

We can’t wait to see you on the start line!

Event Information

All three races start and finish at Eakins Oval, below the Rocky Steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and head out along the Schuylkill River on fully closed roads with the city skyline behind you. The course is flat and fast: Strava measures under 15 m of climbing on every distance.

5K: an out-and-back along the river, 5.0 km.

10K: an out-and-back further up the river, 10.0 km.

10 Mile: 16.1 km on the same river drives, covering the riverside more than once before the finish back at the Oval.

Minimum ages: 10 Mile 17, 10K 15, 5K 11.

Cut-off: 9:30am for all races because the road closures lift then (2.5 hours from the 7:00am 10 Mile start, 2 hours from the 7:30am 5K and 10K starts). The exact line for each distance is on the Strava route.
