About This Event

Join us for the Newbury Racecourse 5K, 10K & Half Marathon on Saturday 14th August 2027!

This popular RunThrough event returns in 2027, offering a flat and fast course at Newbury Racecourse with excellent potential for a personal best.

Choose from the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon and take on an accurately measured looped route around the racecourse. The 5K completes one lap, the 10K takes on two laps, while the Half Marathon covers four laps plus a shorter additional section.

Each kilometre is clearly marked with signposts, and our friendly team of marshals and event staff will be there to support and encourage you all the way to the finish line.

Whether you are chasing a PB, building towards a longer distance or looking for a fun summer race, Newbury Racecourse offers a great setting for runners of all abilities.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Newbury Racecourse Half Marathon, 10k & 5k.

Event Information

The route will take you around the tarmac circuit within and around Newbury Racecourse.

ADDRESS The Racecourse, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 7PN GETTING THERE By Car: Get the full directions here The racecourse is clearly signposted and just minutes from Junctions 12 and 13 of the M4. It is also easily accessible from the M3. By Public Transport: Newbury Racecourse has its very own train station aptly named "Newbury Racecourse Station" located just one stop down from Newbury Station. With direct trains from London Paddington and regular connections from the West, travel should be straightforward. By Bicycle/ Foot: The racecourse is also easily accessible by foot and bicycle, and plenty of space to park your bike. PARKING Travel by car: The racecourse is clearly signposted and just minutes from Junctions 12 and 13 of the M4, and is easily accessible from the M3. There is ample free parking for all competitors in Car Park 4 of Newbury Racecourse, right next to the event village. If travelling by car, please ensure you use the postcode RG14 5AW and follow brown signs to the Racecourse from all major junctions and event wayfinding signs on arrival. The above postcode will take you very close to the Racecourse, from here you just need to go over the bridge and you will arrive at the Racecourse. There will be no access possible to the Car Park from the West of Racecourse Road so please ensure you use the above directions to reach the Car Park. Travel by train: Newbury Racecourse has its own station, one stop from Newbury Station, with direct trains from London Paddington and regular connections from the West. When you arrive at Newbury Racecourse station, please follow wayfinding signage to access the event village.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event. The car park is located close to the event village. It is recommended to leave your belongings in your car. Informal bag drop is within the event village for those who need it. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number. Tear off the strip and attach it to your bag. Leave your bag in our bag drop area which is located on the Grandstand steps just in front of our event village. Collect your bag after your race.

Toilets

The grandstand toilets at the venue will be open for participants and spectators to use next to our event village.

Water & Refreshments

Water Station;

5k x1 around 2.5k

10k x 3 around 2.5k, 5.5k and 7.5k

There will be 1x provided around 2.5k for the 5k. point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. Please note that unfortunately dogs are not permitted onsite.

Accessibility

We welcome buggy runners and wheelchair athletes and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake. Due to the nature of the venue only assistance dogs are permitted to enter the racecourse grounds.
