Join us for the Holkham Half Marathon & 10k on Sunday 16th May 2027!

Race through the stunning grounds of Holkham Hall and the surrounding Norfolk countryside in this scenic closed-road event. With a spectacular start and finish in front of the iconic 18th-century estate, this is a race day to remember.

Choose from the Half Marathon or 10k and enjoy rolling rural roads, beautiful views, accurate chip timing, supportive marshals, and a brilliant event atmosphere.

Surrounded by stunning parkland, Holkham Hall is one of England’s great country estates and makes for an impressive setting to begin and end your run.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Holkham!

The course will take place on road and is undulating throughout.

Cut-off time:

Please note there is a 3 hour cut off on the half marathon due to road closures in place.

Getting There

Public transport in the area is limited. Kings Lynn is the closest major town (25mile away) from here there are limited bus services or alternatively a taxi or car sharing would be advised.

If planning on using public transport, please plan your route in advance, as Sunday services may be limited.

Parking

There is free parking on site at Holkham Hall which will open from 7am. Please be parked up before 8.30am. On arrival, please show the marshals at the gate proof of entry via either your race confirmation email or race bib.

The entrance for the car park is via Park Rd off the A149, you can use the postcode NR23 1RH to enter through the main gate HERE. Please arrive early and car share where possible. As with all major events, there are likely to be queues so please be patient and respectful of the parking team on site.

Please note, parking will be paid from 9am onwards, any spectators attending, we advise coming with runners to optimise on the free parking times.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets in the event village, and approximately half way along the half marathon course.

Water & Refreshments

There will be water provided approximately every 5km during the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head out onto the course, please be respectful of other runners and be aware of the road closures in place.

Accessibility

We welcome buggy runners and wheelchair athletes and simply ask that you remain mindful of the runners around you and make yourself known should you need to overtake them. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leads at all times due to wildlife in the park.
