We're delighted to have DENS returning as our 2027 Charity of the Year. DENS houses, supports and empowers vulnerable single homeless people, and others in crisis, to transform their lives. We’re excited to bring you the third edition of the Hemel Hempstead 5K & 10K, welcoming runners of all abilities for a brilliant day of town-centre racing. Whether it’s your first ever event or your 50th, this chip-timed race delivers a fun challenge on fully road-closed routes through the heart of Hemel Hempstead.

Starting and finishing at Riverside Shopping Centre, you’ll run an undulating course that takes in the pedestrianised town centre and the High Street, with a great local atmosphere as you head towards the finish.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Hemel Hempstead 10K & 5K !

The course is set on closed roads with undulating tarmac paths.

Cut-off time:

Please note there is a 90 min cut off on this race due to road closures in place

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

There will be water provided at roughly the 2k for both races and 7k point for the 10k race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
