Getting There

By Train:

35 minutes from London Waterloo – calling at Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Berrylands, Surbiton and Thames Ditton before arriving at Hampton Court. Trains run every half an hour.

You could also get a train to Kingston and then a bus (111, 216 or 411) from there to Hampton Court Gardens, or a train to Richmond and the R68 bus to Hampton Court.

The service is run by South West Trains. Information on planned engineering works is on their website Southwest Trains.

Hampton Court is in Zone 6 and you can use Oyster Pay as You Go on trains to Hampton Court.

By Bus:

Bus routes from Kingston: 111*, 216*, 411*, 461, 513.

From Richmond: R68*

*These services accept Oyster cards, LT cards, bus passes, Travelcards, Freedom Passes and Saver Tickets.

By Taxi:

Visitors arriving by taxi may drop off at the gates. There is a mini-cab firm at Hampton Court station for those wishing to go home by taxi.

By Car:

The palace postcode is KT8 9AU.

Hampton Court Palace is located on the A308 and is well signposted from all the major local roads; drivers should follow the brown tourist attraction road signs.

From the M25 take either exit 10 on to the A307 or exit 12 on to the A308. The palace is also accessible via the A3 and then the A309.

Parking

There is no parking inside the Palace grounds on the day of the event and no specific event parking. Public transport advised or parkopedia.com.

Event Village Opens

Baggage

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets within the Event Village and on course at the halfway point. There are also accessible toilets available within the Palace Gardens.

Water & Refreshments

10k - There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

HM - There will be water provided at approximately 5k, 10k & 15k, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

Race Pack Collection

If you have entered before September 23rd 2026 your race pack will be posted ahead of the event. Any entries on or after the 23rd September will need to collect a race pack from the event village on the morning of the event between 7:00-8:30am.

Warm-Up & Race Start

There will be an informal warm up within the starting area ahead of each wave. We will call out estimated finish times to get all runners lined up and ready to run.

Spectators are more than welcome. We advise staying in the event village where you will be able to watch runners pass along the towpath below within the first 200m of the race, and again around mile 8 of the half marathon distance, and see runners finish within the event village.

Accessibility

Due to the terrain of this course it is not deemed safe or suitable for wheelchair athletes however if you would like to discuss this further please contact our team via info@runthrough.com. It is also not best suited to buggy runners however you are welcome to take on the challenge. Dogs are not permitted to run at this event and unfortunately due to venue restrictions only assistance dogs will be able to enter the Palace grounds.
