Join us for the first Chase The Moon Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park race of 2022 on Wednesday 12th October 2022 in association with ‘Be More You’ to mark World Mental Health Day !

Racing around the inspiring grounds of London 2012′s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the flat and fast course is the perfect opportunity for a chip timed personal best. You can chose to run a quick 5k or take on a full 10k.

 

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

This year we have decided to team up with Be More You, a group of runners who are passionate about running, community, and mental health. Together, we are looking to raise awareness for Mental Health in an Unequal World, and our slogan is ‘Equality in Mental Health’. For those of us experiencing mental health, we live in an unequal world. There is still a stigma that surrounds mental health, discrimination, and limited access to support. with this in mind, we want to raise the profile of mental health in the running community, and invite runners to join us for a 5K or 10K race on Wednesday 12th October 2022.

The race will host a ‘Mindful moment’ 60 seconds prior to the race start time to encourage runners to check in on themselves and make intentions for their race.

 

 

As always with a RunThrough event each kilometer will be accurately marked out and there will be plenty of signs and marshals around the course to keep you going all the way to the finish!

  • Baggage

    We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, all you have to do show you number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.

    Refreshments

    There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and water at the finish. There will also be bananas & flapjacks waiting for you at the finish.

    During the race

    There will be marshals all around the course as well as km signs and arrows. The course is two laps for the 5k and four laps for the 10k on the roads/paths in the park. Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park.

    Results

    Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.

    Pictures

    We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
