Made it all the way out to Wimbledon tonight to run the @runthroughuk 5km with the @letsdothis.com_ team. And obviously you can’t go to Wimbledon without getting a selfie with a Womble! Good run tonight, took it a bit cautious as it’s largely on trails (new for me) but as a post-work run goes I’m pretty happy with it. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” #letsdothis #runnersofinstagram #running #runnerscommunity #ukrunchat #ukrunners #instarunners #londonrunners #runlondon #runnerslife #londonrun #instarun #ukrunnerscommunity #teamprojectrun #trusttheprocess #ldt #ldtpacemakers #runthroughuk #wimbledon #chasethesun #marathontraining #chicagomarathon2019

Head down. Ignore the Womble πŸ™ˆ β€’ β€’ That lovely ice cream I had yesterday at 1pm? At 7pm my stomach reminded me that if I want to be able to run faster than a comatose sloth, I need to stick to the BFO Diet (Boiled Food Only). β€’ β€’ I was going to race 10km at @runthroughuk 's Chase the Sun but after 3km my stomach was in serious pain & I called it quits after one lap & got a 5km time instead (23:47 if you need to know 😜) β€’ β€’ Such is my life. I don't know when I'll finally snap out of the denial that I just cannot eat like a "normal person". I really, really don't want to accept it as I don't have any diagnosed digestive medical conditions. Just a stomach that regularly blows up to 6-month pregnancy size & hurts like hell 😩 β€’ β€’ Swipe left for my finish line expression. πŸ˜‚ β€’ β€’ #chasethesun #runthroughuk #5kmrun #wimbledonwombles #wimbledonrunning #womblesofwimbledon #racephoto #finishline

Day 23 – Run! Tiring day at work and massive rush to get to the start line of this race meant I wasn't full of energy to run. I had a real dilemma at the 5km mark whether to take the finish or do another 5km lap. I thought I didn't get this far in my day to only get this far, so off I went again. Regretted that decision at 7km! The race route was very quiet for the 2nd lap but the marshals were great, cheering me on. Loved this event. The small, local race was very different to the mass participation races I usually do. Got free photos already of me at 5km mark with flying feet high fiving a Womble and at the finish reaching for my medal. Love the medal too. Definitely worth all the effort and family logistics (thanks M&D!) to do this race! Thanks @runthroughuk I'll be back again! #iamarunner #10kmrace #runthroughuk #wombles #100daysofsweat #loverunning #absolutelyknackerednow
