Feeling tired but happy after that 10k in todays hot weather. ?☀️☀️☀️☀️???‍♀️it was tough. I’m not use to running in heat. I ran 5k in 28mins 2seconds. Another personal best for me. I struggled today with the heat and cramp. I genuinely thought I would not make a PB. I also helped and encouraged 2 others who were struggling around the course. I saved enough energy for a sprint finish and when I saw the time found more power in my legs than I thought I could muster. So proud of myself! Thank you @runthroughuk for another great, well organised race. The Epsom salts and Easter eggs were an added bonus to the flapjack and banana. Cannot wait to book my next race in May. Running Joy ? This is lap 3 when we have eased in a bit and found our pace together. One of my top 5 races ever completed ? The main thing I learnt yesterday is that if you run in headphones you won’t hear important instructions from guide runners given for everyone’s safety. Operation get @johnsonjourno a new 10k PB ✔️ Had zero intention of racing today after Victoria Park, but when this guy teased me with a game of crazy golf after, I signed up for the Battersea Park 10k about five minutes before the start ? No way I was going to do that 4 laps faster than yesterday, so agreed to get him a new PB. Don’t think he appreciated me shouting at him on the fourth lap to pick up the pace on the last stretch, but it clearly worked ?? and he bagged that 42 minute time. Think the incentive to pay for golf after worked too.
