Draycote Water Running Festival

There maybe ice or slippy conditions on route, which we are sure you’ve encountered during your training runs this week. We will as a team do our upmost to keep the course as safe as possible but we cannot assure this for the entire route. Please take your time around corners, and on downhill stretches. We recommend trail shoes or shoes with lots of grip.

10k – 10.45am
5k – 10.55am
Race pack Collection
**ALL RACE PACKS ARE TO BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY**
All entries will be assigned a number at registration.
To collect your number, make your way down to the collection desks on Saturday Morning.
It will take around 15 minutes to collect your number, so please arrive early.
You will only need one number attached to the front of your shirt.
Your timing chip will be attached to the bottom of your race bib and needs to be attached to your shoe as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number on at all times during the race.
At the finish, you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).
Collection Times:
Half Marathon – 8:30 – 9:30am
10k – 9:15 – 10:15am
5k – 9:25 – 10:25am
When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!
Race Start
Each race will have a warm up in the event village 15minutes prior to the race start time.
After the warm up, estimated finish times will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation.
During the race
There will be marshals all around the course as well as distance signs and arrows.
The course is a gently undulating loop around the reservoir (5k is out and back route, 10k out and back + 1 lap, HM out and back + 2 laps). The route is all on tarmac, with great views the whole way around.
The 5k course consists of 1 out and back route. You can download the GPX file for the 5k course HERE.
The 10k lap consists of 1 large lap and 1 out and back. You can download the GPX file for the 10k course HERE.
The Half Marathon consists of 2 large laps and 1 out and back. You can download the GPX file HERE.
If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.
Please discard any water bottles or rubbish near the course signs and bins during the race.
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, Love Corn and Bounce Bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

There is paid parking available at the venue. Car parking is charged at £5 all day or £3 for 2 hours.

Toilets
For this event, we will use the toilets in the visitor centre. The exact location for the centre is ///lamps.also.legroom. If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home.
Baggage
Refreshments
There will be 2 water stations on the course. For half marathon runners, these are at miles 3, 5.5, 8 and 10.5. For 10k runners, the water stations will be located at kilometres 1.5 and 5. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.
Results
Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race, which will be made available on our photos page after the race.
