Carsington Water 10k & Half Marathon

Please note both races finish in the main Event Village, this is a 1.3mile /25minute walk from the 10k start location.

Half Marathon – 9:30am
10k- 10:00am
Race Pack Collection
**ALL RACE PACKS ARE TO BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY FROM THE RESPECTIVE START LOCATIONS**
Collection Times:
Half Marathon: 8:00-9:00am
10k: 8:30-9:30am
10k race packs are to be collected from the 10k start line at Millfield’s Car Park.
Half Marathon race packs are to be collected from the main Event Village.
All entries will be assigned a number at registration.
To collect your number, make your way down to the collection desks on Sunday Morning.
It will take around 15 minutes to collect your number, so please arrive early.
You will only need one number attached to the front of your shirt.
Your timing chip will be attached to the bottom of your race bib and needs to be attached to your shoe as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number on at all times during the race.
At the finish, you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).
When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!
We are collecting for the Clay Cross Foodbank at this race in the event village. We welcome all runners who are able to, to bring a donation to leave with the Food Bank stall. (All donations must be unopened and in date).

Race Start
Each race will have a warm up in the event village 15 minutes prior to the start time.
After the warm up, estimated finish times will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation.
During the race
There will be marshals all around the course as well as mile signs and arrows.
This race consists of an undulating route on trail paths around Carsington Water. The half marathon route is an out and back followed by 1 full loop of the reservoir. The 10k is almost one full loop of the reservoir.

Please discard any water bottles or rubbish in the litter zones located just passed the water stations.
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal and Love Corn which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.
Travel
Millfield’s Car Park, Ashbourne DE6 3JL
Millfields Car Park= £2.50 for two hours, £4 for the whole day
Toilets
There is also a toilet block located in Millfields Car Park at the 10k start.
If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home.
Baggage
For the 10k, we will transport your bags from the start line to the Event village, to be collected at the finish.
Spectators
Spectators are more than welcome to come along and support runners.
Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a short lead at all times.
Results
Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race, which will be made available on our photos page after the race.

Refreshments
There are water stations that you will run past every 5km in your race. Please help yourself to this as you pass this.
There will also be water available at the finish.
