I was so excited to see @wellness_ed around 19.5km on the route yesterday – though my “you’ve run WELL FAR” joke was somewhat lost when a gob of spit came my way.. thanks Amy?! ????????‍♀️ A very happy, strong runner – high fiving the crowd and cheering on the marshalls, great running spirit! Well, would you look at that!! . @runthroughuk Victoria Park 5k. I didn’t walk once, despite desperately wanting to. I sped up in the last kilometre, bringing that split in at 5:36/km or 9:07/mile ???? And I got my fastest 5k time in a very very long time – I got as far back as December 2017 before I gave up trying to find a faster timed 5k ????????‍♀️ . Wasn’t easy – it was super windy on some of the stretches and a bit drizzly. Was far too warm in my jacket and was ever so desperate to start walking. I’m glad I pushed though – wee little unexpected confidence boost right there. . . Tomorrow I tackle the Vitality @officialbighalf for its second year ????‍♀️
