January has been a pretty big month for running. Nine 10ks and about 100k in training runs. Finished with the really tough @runthroughuk Crystal Palace 10k. Ruddy lovely race but the hills are relentless. Getting faster though.

When you deprive your body of the attention, care and discipline it needs to push itself, it will punish you. . I have not been very strict with my marathon training since before Christmas and I felt it today on my first proper run since December. . I was not in full form, although I still managed to clock around 35mins despite walking at least 1.5k of the race. . I’ll have a lot of work to do if I’m going to do a full/half marathon in April, but I’m determined to get back into the swing of things. . Thanks @runthroughuk for organising another great race. . What are your fitness goals this year? . . . . . . . #marathon #race #marathonrace #5k #5krun #runnersclub #instafit #fitness #runthroughuk
SQUAD Look at this inspirational bunch of people. Up and out early doors for a @runthroughuk 5k or a 10K round Crystal Palace Park (which if you’re not familiar has ALOT of hills. Sorry @shellie0055 and @emmaruns_) for some of us it was their first ever 5k race (you both absolutely smashed it and I’m so proud) for others it was a 10K as part of marathon training. Whatever distances or reasons people were running today there was a whole lotta support and love at the centre of it and that’s my favourite part of running! You guys are all inspirations ♀️
