James Townsend and I ran a race together this morning for the first time since my 100th on 17th September 2016! That’s 25 months later! We have completed RunThrough’s Wimbledon Common Half Marathon. I am so delighted to get my 50th half marathons. We started at the back so it was quite heavy traffic in the first 10K where I needed to hold on James T’s hand most of the time (that’s what run guide was all about) before I finally found a nice space until at the finish. But I was worn out at 11 miles point after trying to control my balance on very wet uneven surface but it was always enjoyable on the trail route to show that I can face the challenges! We weren’t interested in time but we crossed the finish line at 2 hours 17 minutes. It was raining at the start, then dry during the race, and then heavy downpour after 11 miles – it was lovely feeling though! Also thanks to Kevin for his companion and his voluntary to award finisher medals to the runners. I create a brief poem… I barely saw through We got wet through We ran together through That’s RunThrough !
