The most FROSTY ☃️ and festive morning ?? with the @sportsdirectrunning team at today’s @runthroughuk Victoria Park race ??‍♀️ – We were joined by friends, other halves, kiddos and families to celebrate all our amazing achievements this year and smash out one final run! – I opted for the 5km today and decided to take things fairly relaxed for the last push of 2019 (and the decade ?). 22:46 on the clock, and pipped to the post by @wcylou on the finish line ???… payback for Fulham? ? – A huge thank you to the @runthroughuk team for having us today, we’ll be back in 2020! – How did you celebrate #SundayRunday? ?? – ?? Kit all GIFTED @sportsdirectrunning [Race entry also GIFTED @runthroughuk] – #SDRUNCREW #SDRunning #RunthroughUK

What joy! After a somewhat… challenging week (and the less said about Thurs PM/Fri AM the better), today’s half marathon really lifted my spirits. I entered it on a whim after last week’s pacing disaster and was REALLY not feeling up for it. Preparation included December booze, antibiotics, and basically zero running. Highly ideal. But the sun came out, I ran an ACTUAL PB (1:43:05, according to the revised watch time!), and I think the elation is clear to see! Sometimes stuff is horrible and there genuinely aren’t easy answers. Or any answers. And I’m not silly enough to suggest that moving and fresh air actually fixes that stuff, but they DO give the relief of escapism for a just little bit. Which is sometimes all it takes for the fog to lift, even briefly. (And I don’t have a weird double chin, it’s my hair being out of control. But I’m so proud of being able to jump after that effort, I don’t really care ?) • #running #run #runnersofinstagram #runningmotivation #runhappy #runrunrun #runforlife #halfmarathon #victoriapark #victoriaparkhalfmarathon #victoriaparkhalf #sunshine #wintersun #joy #happy #mentalhealth #itsokaynottobeokay #freshair #movement #runningjumps #raceday #runthroughuk #runthrough #pb #personalbest #london #ldn #seafordstriders

??‍♂️Victoria Park Bling??‍♂️ It was great to be back at a @runthroughuk event yesterday with the #sdruncrew What made it even better was the fact I picked up a cheeky 10k PB of 47:52. In the name of the festive season, I’m pretty happy my Xmas hat matches the medal! Check out #runthroughuk events for everything from 5K up and get the chance to see some great places in London with some awesome races.
