More pictures from today’s run at Regents Park. . As I was cutting through the heat in the park making the most of the little shade I encountered, I kept thinking ???? what would be running/walking a longer distance in this condition. . My wife told me today: “For some people running a marathon is one of the biggest achievements in their lives. And for some others it’s getting married. You did both this year, why do you look restlessly at the next challenge?” . Because as I recently read “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Say you’re running and you think, ‘Man, this hurts, I can’t take it anymore. The ‘hurt’ part is an unavoidable reality, but whether or not you can stand anymore is up to the runner himself.” . Sleep. Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. . Not for me. I want more because I can do more. And if I can do it, you can too. . Had an absolutely fantastic run today! After some hiccups during the past few runs, I finally feel like I have my groove back! ⭐???? * * The sun was shining and the course was amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better day! Oh what a lovely day ☉???? I wish I could say the same about that race lols #mygod. The heat was unbearable even for a 5k. It was actually worse than doing the marathon and it was less than an eighth of the distance ???????? it’s funny to think I did 6 5ks last week in exactly the same park and all in cooler temperatures and more fun but the cheerers kept me going and the highlight was I SAW A CAMEL ???????? so y’know it wasn’t all bad. And the medal is pretty. Alexandra Palace is a Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue in London, located in Muswell Hill in the London Borough of Haringey. Come and join us for a fantastic morning out with panoramic views of London!
