It’s time to ring that 5km PB πŸ””! Well that was on the plan but unexpected, I didn’t think my legs were ready to do it. Another fabulous run by @runthroughuk in the wonderful Olympic Park. I had the great company of @spoulter84 who helped me get around and of course the Sprint finish scream as @maudenegouws ran past while doing her 10km definitely helped. It was a wonderful day for a run and even better when you get to do it with some amazing people. Lovely to see Cordula smashing out a 10km and @fitcetera cruising through the 10km after completing 2 marathons in 2 weeks. Isn’t running just a great thing! #run #runforfun #running #runthroughuk #queenelizabetholympicpark #5km #10km #londonclassics #halfmarathontraining #runner #friendswhorun #fitnessjourney #thisgirlcan #thisgirlcanrun #runlondon

Two medals, two completely different races! πŸ…πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ First up, one of my favourite events to do – the @runthroughuk Olympic Park race. I took on the 10k, wanting to add in some mileage again after the marathon. I also wanted to get sub 50, something I don’t do all that often – in fact, I think this might be one of only a handful of times I’ve done it! It was just the confidence booster I needed. πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸΌ – – – Next up, the contrasting @maldonmudrace… definitely the most expensive race I’ve done per metre run at only ~400m or so long, but a ridiculous amount of fun! πŸ’©πŸ˜† I literally had to crawl my way around most of the deep mud left by the tidal river, and the lung burn was REAL! Absolutely clocked my slowest 400m to date, but what an experience! β˜ΊοΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ And my dad was there to watch (and laugh) with a sprained ankle – what a trooper. β€οΈπŸ™πŸΌ – – – I’m so grateful I get to take part in these events and, while some people won’t understand the attraction to medals, I think they’re an awesome reminder of the fun, hard work and achievement of taking on and completing an event. πŸ˜πŸ’ Another two medals added to the collection, and lots more memories too!
