It’s was hot like fire this morning at the VeloPark Stratford for the @runthroughuk 10 Mile Run. I completed it by my Garmin watch at 1hr 41mins but boy was it good fun. I honestly felt like giving up and I remembered I was a soca runner so slowed down, like I was doing a slow walk and whine ?? and got through it in this heat. Another amazing day with Run Through UK, marshals, volunteers, supporters……and if course the running family, a brilliant morning with a fabulous flapjack and gorgeous medal ? Probably my hottest & hilliest half?was slightly worried about my knee,will see how it is after couple of days…despite few hiccups,managed to get through this somehow…kudos to all runners,well deserved medal…and big thank you to @runthroughuk… you know,you’re amazing ? A 5am start today so that I could get my run done before heading to the Olympic Park to yell encouraging sentiments at Katy & Adam in their @runthroughuk half marathon. Very hot, lots of hills, not sure I could’ve kept going but they killed it! Cheer squad was on point today, we took it upon ourselves to adopt any runner who had their name on their vest, with some mixed results ?
