Proper chuffed today, PB’s all over the place. ? ? So either it was the wind pushing me along or my Garmin is still broken ? Also, I didn’t walk for the first 10km, I did a little after that but mainly cause I had a Stich. THIS IS HOW NOT TO RUN A PLANNED RACE!! I signed up last minute for @runthroughuk Lee Valley Velopark half marathon because it was 1 mile laps so I could train MARATHON PACE for #liverpoolmarathon. My intention was 7.17km which was my average #brightonmarathon- THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. argh. Firstly, 1. Do not do open water swimming the evening before – my arms were in pain (if you do not think arms have anything to do with running, you are wrong!!) 2. Do not eat all the freebies at #londonmarathon expo because your tummy will not appreciate it the day of a race. 3. Do not wake up late. 4. Do not tell the uber driver to hurry up (please) because he’ll take longer. 5. Make sure you put the chip sticker on your trainers because I was in such a rush I flippin’ forgot! 6. STICK TO THE PACE YOU PLANNED. I ran way too fast & then failed from mile 10.
