CHASE THE SUN ☀️ PB of 43:44 tonight at @runthroughuk 10K ✔️ BOOM! Hard work but great route and the 4 laps around the Olympic Park definitely helped pacing. Just kept going and @emb_lifeontherun @trackeast cheers were much appreciated too! Pretty nice way to spend a Wednesday evening actually ? CHASE THE SUN Considering we both have the season pass it has been far too long since @fitcetera and I have Chased The Sun, or even tackled a @runthroughuk race. When we realised we had a Wednesday evening free, it had to be done and we thought we would bring my nephew along for good measure. Had such a blast with him in Wales it felt like the right thing to do. I’m not match fit so no PB for but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the pain cave and pushing as hard as I could to get this time. I forgot how much missed racing! I thoroughly earned the suffering I experienced today, I had the most painful stitch and thought I was going to vomit at many times. About last night, I GOT IT!! 10km in 39:52. So excited, so thankful. I would never been able to do this without everyone from @trackeast During the race we had our little pack, featuring ”Slow down Ben, keep it Steady” @benhubbard434 (who ran a great PB!), @oajp83 “I’ll just see how long I can hang on” – casually ran a 40:03. You’ll get it next time! And @matteo_bevilacaqua, who cruised ahead the first lap and pushed on the last. Thank you! Running races like this is done together! I also couldn’t have done it without the cheer squad!
