Run Through Chase the Sun 10k ✅ . . Anyone who knows me will know how impeccable my time keeping is (not ?) and will be shocked to hear I was ridiculously late to this race. I would not recommend turning up at 6:57 for a race that starts at 7 ? by the time I had picked up my race number and gone through bag drop I had completely missed the 5k start which I had been planning to do, and had to join the very back of the 10k runners. I didn’t even have time to attach the timing chip to my shoe, and so wore it like a knuckle duster all the way round ? . . I’m actually really glad I had to do the 10k, for some reason even though I have done longer runs than that by myself, I didn’t think I was ready for a 10k race (???). My only goal was to finish, preferably before the organisers had packed up and gone home, which I did ? . . Not a great run today but it’s was better than I expected. I was expecting a 1:05 to 1:15 with the foot pain I had. I try to enjoy this course but I don’t maybe it’s the hills. Hill 1 I don’t mind but hill 2 seems to be never ending. Hill 3 I see the finishing line before going up the hill. It’s one of runthrough toughest 10k Brockwell park. I would prefer to run Crystal Palace or Greenwich park. #sisko297 #runthroughuk #brockwellpark10k
