Just 5km for tonight’s slightly freezing @runthroughuk Chase the Moon, the plan was to do an easy run post my speed session last night. Lovely little run around with @jo_jo_runs , @beccarunsfromcouchtomarathon and @lillybet.runs.a lot. And the running buddy that I have dragged out for two cold nights in a row @maudenegouws well done on your excellent run. So lovely to see so many friendly faces all braving the cold for a little run @heelsforhills , @fitcetera And @ianrunsldn . I love this running community and the amazing people I get to meet and run with. #halfmarathontraining #marathontraining #runthroughuk #5km #10km #instarunners #runningcommunity #thisgirlcanrun #winterrunning #run #runnersofinstagram #runlondon #queenelizabetholympicpark #runningtraining #ukrunchat #runforfun #friendswhorun #runners

Wednesday night run bun times y'all. I rested my wonky bum on Monday, and did yoga Tuesday so I felt like a wobbly jelly. By Wednesday night I was ready steady run. . It was minus 4 billion, but no ice cube around me today as we waited in the cafe and then did a mega warm up. . Then the run begun. (Yes, that rhymes) . It was a fast beginning in lap one of the Olympic park. It was mega awesome to run along with @projectmarathongirl -she's so cool, and I was star-struck. . In lap two I had a stitch. "But suffering is optional," said the voice in my brain, which sounded like Sr Patrick Stewart. I read that quote in a book. I think I'm on page 8. . At the big corner before the run around the stadium, I opened my arms wide and made an aircraft noise as I turned. "Neeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaawwww!" . By lap three I was in a focussed zen state where I probably thought I was an actual aircraft. I can't remember, it's all blurry. . By lap four I knew I was pushing things to the very limit. The head music became the Rocky Theme. I made the biggest aircraft noises on the turning. The @runthroughuk tambourine person said I looked like I was going to take off. . I had just enough energy to sprint to the finish; but I knew I'd potentially taken things too far. As I gleefully smashed through the line, greeted by the lovelies bunch of running legends in the world, I had to sit down on the tarmac and focus on not passing out. Wobbly wobble Mc wobbleson. . On the next few runs I'm going to focus on running sensibly and aim for slower times. I don't need to push things to the limits every run. . But today I did. . 42 minutes and 21 seconds. . #motivationalrunning #runningcommunity #runthroughuk #olympicparkstratford #10krunning #marathontraining #fitness #runmypersonalbest #runchatuk #runninguk #runningmotivation

No way Mario, you ain't beating me πŸ˜† Fully blaming getting caught up reading through the latest @allrounder.fitness feature for Wareable as the reason I was late for Chasing the Moon with the @runthroughuk crew tonight. As a result, I forgot to put my race chip on so no place for me on the results page ☹️. The Garmin though says I did a 40 minute 10k tonight, which I have not done for a long time. Think this might be my sub-40 course. The key is to just run a bit faster 🀣 And yes, I do rock vests in this ❄️❄️ weather. Makes you run faster right? πŸ€™πŸΎπŸƒπŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ ___ First πŸ“Έ courtesy of the @runthroughuk crew #runthroughuk #runthrough #run #running #runner #runners #runnersofinstagram #sayskycph #saysky #queenelizabethpark #londonrunning #chasethemoon #10krun #race
