Race Start

The colour of your race number will relate to the wave you are starting in. This has been determined by the estimated finish time given when signing up.

Within the event village you will see the directional signage guiding to the start line. Each start area will be marked out to help prepare you all into your start formations with help from the marshals. When arriving please familiarise yourself with the start area.

Each wave will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation with 4 runners, all 2m apart, being started every 10 seconds.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE WAVES.

Toilets

The toilets used for the event will be located in the Grandstand. We will have adequate facilities available for you but there will be an entry and exit system in place, managed by marshals. We will also have a socially-distanced queue area so please look out for signage, queue markers, and marshal instructions. We advise leaving plenty of time to use the toilet before the race where necessary. If you live locally we recommend using the toilets at home. To align with Government guidance with regards to face coverings in indoor public spaces, you will be required to wear a face covering when queueing for and using the toilets. Please remember to bring this to the event with you.

Hygiene Stations

There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, wipes, spray, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.

During the race

There will be marshals all around the course as well as KM markers for the 5k & 10k race and Mile markers for the half marathon. The course is 1 lap for the 5k, 2 laps for the 10k and 4 laps for the Half. You can see the course map and live course video HERE.

If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.

Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.

Please be advised that there will be some areas of the course which will be designated as No Overtaking Zones. This will be highlighted with signage and additional marshals. Within these zones please refrain from passing other runners until it is safe to do so. This is to keep you safe during the race and align with our COVID-19 protocols.

Spectators

Non-essential spectators are strictly banned at the event. Entry will be refused and they will be asked to leave if present. This includes the event village and all areas of the course. The venue will be enforcing this on the day. We are sorry for the inconvenience but due to our COVID-19 protocols in place at the event we need to limit the people attending the event to be participants only.
Refreshments

There will be a limited amount of water provided on every lap of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish. In order to avoid congestion on the course, we recommend bringing your own water and staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

Baggage

There will no formal baggage drop within the event village. Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car.  This is in order to reduce contact between runners and staff.

After the race

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.

There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.
