You can see the full guidance issues by RunBritain online HERE.Please familiarise yourself with the measures that will be in place at the event HERE.Thank you for your cooperation with the new regulations in place at the event, these are necessary to ensure a safe environment and mean that we can continue to provide race opportunities.
If you have been in an affected place, been in contact with someone with coronavirus or had any symptoms in the last 14 days please refrain from attending the race. For further guidance please visit the NHS website HERE.
All race packs have been sent out in the post. If you do not receive your race pack before the end of the day on Friday 30th October please contact us at [email protected] to arrange a pack for collection.
Check your wave HERE.
You will not be able to run without a race number and chip.
NO CHIP MEANS NO TIME.
When you collect your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!
The colour of your race number will relate to the wave you are starting in. This has been determined by the estimated finish time given when signing up.
Within the event village you will see the start line and each start area marked out with a corresponding coloured sign. When arriving please familiarise yourself with your start area.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE WAVES.
The Event Village and Start Lines
The layout of the event village will be different to what you may have previously seen at the VeloPark. In order to create a larger space and ensure a safe environment for all runners and marshals the event village has moved to the front of the VeloPark and you will be guided to the start line in waves by our marshals ahead of each race.
See below an outline of the new event village:
See route to the start line:
For this event we will use portaloos, rather than the usual toilets inside the building, which will be located next to the carpark. Lining up for these toilets will be socially distanced. If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home.
There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, wipes, spray, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.
There will no formal baggage drop within the event village. Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car or with friends during the race. This is in order to reduce contact between runners and staff.
During the race
The course is a closed off 1 mile loop. You will complete 3 laps for 5k, 6 for the 10k, 10 laps for the 10 mile and 13 for the half marathon. There will be plenty of marshals around the course and after the completion of your laps head under the blue inflatable arch to finish.
If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.
Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.
Please be aware that due to social distancing and restrictions enforced upon us we ask that you do not bring any spectators with you to the event.
Please bring your own water to the event to avoid congestion on the course, there will be a very limited amount of water at the water station on course for Half Marathon runners. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.
When discarding water bottles or gel packets on the course, please try to leave them near to the signs around the course
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal , Love Corn and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.
We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.
